The wider LDSL football community were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former Chairperson and long serving executive committee member, Paddy Murphy. Paddy was a hugely respected and influential figure in our recent past, most notably for his work as Chairperson and also for the significant impact he had on the wider game in Limerick and in particular with his beloved club, Geraldines A.F.C.
Indeed, Paddy was a true gentleman and achieved much in the LDSL, building excellent working relationships with the Limerick football community in his time on the LDSL executive He will be greatly missed. The LDSL community and executive committee remember Paddy’s time at the league fondly and our collective thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
